Somalia: Puntland minister dies following illness

GAROWE, Somalia, January 3, 2016 (Garowe Online)-Puntland’s State Minister for Health Abdulahi Jama Ali has succumbed to a weeks-long illness on Sunday morning, Garowe Online reports.
President Abdiweli Mohamed Ali has confirmed the death of late Ali on the outset of performance review gathering at Health Ministry headquarters.
Minister of State for Health has passed away in Galkayo.
Ali alongside cabinet ministers including Health Minister Abdinasir Osman Uke has paid a tribute to late Ali whom he lauded for his tireless role in health and security matters.
Late Ali served in former Puntland President Abdirahman Mohamed Farole’s government as State Minister for Security.
