Somalia: Twin bomb blasts rock Galkayo, dozens killed

GALKAYO, Somalia-Thunderous explosions have rattled Galkayo’s vast north on Sunday morning, killing at least more than a dozen according to witnesses, Garowe Online reports.

A suicide bomber firstly tore through busy Dayaha market, followed by another car bomb packed full of explosives, which reportedly caused inferno.

The second bomber is believed to have struck crowds in panic in front of Galkayo municipality shortly.

Puntland government officials have yet to detail exact fatalities from the twin explosions thought to be the deadliest in restive Galkayo.

An eye witness said, he was seeing severed bodies lying in a pool of blood.

Galkayo has witnesses a series of targeted killings against Puntland government officials in recent months.
