GAROWE, Somalia, October 1, 2015 (Garowe Online)-Puntland cabinet members have not gathered for their weekly meeting for unknown reasons since early August, when President  Abdiweli Mohamed Ali moved to Galkayo, Garowe Online reports.

On August 11, a large entourage led by Ali went out on a drive from the capital, Garowe to Galkayo which straddles the border between Puntland and Galmudug.

Puntland Vice President, who is now mediating in clan feuds in Nugal region town of Burtinle couldn’t stage the meeting held every Thursday at the State House for lack of ministerial quorum.

Though, he is beset with clan schisms and near-weekly mutinies by security forces, Ali continues to dismiss claims of unpaid salaries.

Puntland Army Chief, Gen. Saed Mohamed Hirsi (Saed Dheere) said, he will resign, unless salaries are paid to disgruntled government troops earlier on Monday.
