GAROWE, Somalia Nov 6, 2014 (Garowe Online)-The President of Somalia’s Puntland Government Abdiweli Mohamed Ali has once again been summoned for questioning by the state’s 66-seat-chamber on Thursday, Garowe Online reports.

Parliament speaker Saed Hassan Shire told reporters in the state capital of Garowe that Puntland presidency did not respond to a letter demanding Ali and cabinet ministers to appear before the parliament for deliberations over prevailing policies and the achievements of the government.

“We yesterday summoned the cabinet and the president to the parliament, they were expected to prepare for parliamentary deliberations today but they did not heed the summon as of now,” said Shire.

He added the parliament reiterates the request once again and asks the president to appear in the parliament for question-and-answer session.

The summon marks the first in less than a year since Ali was elected as Puntland president at the beginning of this year.

Puntland Vice President Abdihakin Abdulahi Haji Omar Amey convened the 34th –parliamentary session on October 25 with international community representatives present.
