MOGADISHU, Somalia — The Hormuud Salaam Foundation is proud to announce the recipients of its prestigious 2024 scholarship program. This highly competitive initiative, aimed at promoting academic excellence, has awarded full scholarships to 30 exceptional students selected from a large pool of applicants through a rigorous and transparent examination process.

Each recipient will receive comprehensive funding, covering tuition, fees, and other educational expenses throughout their studies across various disciplines. The foundation's commitment to academic excellence is underscored by its purely merit-based selection criteria.

"We are thrilled to congratulate this year's Hormuud Salaam Foundation Scholarship recipients and look forward to seeing the impact they will have in their academic and future professional careers," said Abdullahi Nur Osman, CEO of the Hormuud Salaam Foundation. "Their success is a testament to their hard work and dedication."

On the 11th of last month, 400 students from Mogadishu and regions across Somalia participated in a two-day scholarship examination held at the Hormuud University campus, adjacent to Banadir Hospital.

"This competitive opportunity is offered annually to underprivileged high school graduates nationwide, ensuring that financial barriers do not hinder their pursuit of higher education," the Hormuud Salaam Foundation stated. As the philanthropic arm of Hormuud Telecom and Salaam Somali Bank, the foundation strives to promote education as a tool for peace and development.

The scholarship program is part of a broader initiative to invest in Somali youth, recognizing them as key drivers of the country's future growth and stability. By alleviating financial burdens, the foundation not only supports their immediate educational aspirations but also cultivates a culture of lifelong learning and professional growth.

The 2024 scholarship recipients join a growing community of scholars poised to make meaningful contributions to their fields and communities, embodying the values of dedication and academic excellence.
