Ethiopia military says 35 militants killed in Somalia airstrike

ADDIS ABABA – The Ethiopian Air Force said it has carried out an airstrike on Al-Shabab base in Burr Haybe, 75 km east of Baidoa, Somalia, on January 24, 2019.

About 35 Al-Shabaab militants, including operation head in the area, were killed in the airstrike conducted for 44 minutes, the Ministry of Defense said in a statement.

The statement added that 4 military vehicles and five high calibre weapons were damaged by the airstrike.

The airstrike conducted previously has also inflicted huge damage on Al-Shabaab fighters, the statement added.
