ADDIS ABABA – The House of People’s Representatives (HPR) of Ethiopia today unanimously approved a draft law prepared to restructure executive organs.

The House is also expected to approve a new cabinet to be proposed based on the draft law by Prime Minister Dr. Abiy Ahmed.

The Council of Ministers last week approved and referred to the House a draft law on the restructuring of the executive organs.

Based on the draft law, the new Cabinet is downsized from 28 to 19, merged some portfolios, and created new ones reflecting the government priority.
