NAIROBI, Kenya - French President Emmanuel Macron has announced an investment of 23 billion euros that will be implemented in African countries.

The president unveiled the investment package at the French Africa Forum held in Nairobi, Kenya, where leaders of more than 30 African countries participated.

It has been stated that the investment package will be implemented in energy, artificial intelligence and digital technology, marine and logistics, and agriculture sectors.

It is said that this investment package will create 250 thousand direct jobs in Africa.

President Macron said that we are here not only to invest in Africa but also to create opportunities for African investors to invest in France.

In addition, it has been shown that France aims to strengthen its relationship with Africa and to create new areas of cooperation with its former colonies and some African countries.

Reuters and France 24 reported that the stage is the first to be held outside French-speaking countries.
