Somalia: Indonesians freed after spending 3 months in Puntland for illegal fishing

GAROWE, Somalia, January 3, 2016 (Garowe Online)-Puntland government in northern Somalia has freed two Indonesians accused of illegal fishing activities on Saturday, Garowe Online reports.
Indonesians—Mohli Batiwawa and Abdiasis Hermans—were acquitted of charges after a series of hearings in the illegal fishing case, Nugal’s first degree court has announced.
Puntland charged the two men with transgression in Exclusive Economic Zone (ECZ), illegal fishing, fraudulence and depletion of marine resources, amongst others.
Judges told the media that the Indonesians have spent three months in Puntland prison for further hearings.
