Somalia: Puntland President Deni Closes Police Training for 8th Batch in Carmo

Carmo, Puntland – Puntland President Said Abdullahi Deni on Saturday concluded a working visit to the district of Carmo, where he presided over the graduation ceremony of the 8th batch of police cadets from the Carmo Police Training Academy.

The graduating class includes nearly 500 officers, most of whom hold university-level education. The cadets have undergone intensive training for the past eight months, receiving both theoretical instruction and practical field exercises aimed at enhancing professionalism and discipline within the Puntland Police Force.

In his address, President Deni praised the cadets for their commitment and encouraged them to uphold the rule of law and serve their communities with integrity. He also emphasized the importance of continued investment in human capital to ensure effective policing across the region.

The graduation marks another step in Puntland’s efforts to strengthen its security institutions through structured training programs and capacity-building initiatives.

The Carmo Police Academy has become a key center for training law enforcement personnel in Puntland, playing a vital role in developing a skilled and disciplined police force to meet growing security demands in the region.
