Somalia: Moreish tea in Bargal coastal town

BARGAL, Somalia, October 13, 2015 (Garowe Online)-Bargal seems too old, given its geographical location and long standing relations with the Arab World. Unfortunately, gunfire sound has severely ravaged its nearest neighbor, Yemen.

Every place you go, surely you will find something very interesting, whether it’s strange to you or narrated from somewhere.

In Bargal, I saw a tea with exceptional taste. It’s different from most common types of tea recipes we have on Somalia soil-black tea and tea with milk.

This tea is brewed in a unique manner. It’s served with sugar, either cloves or cardamom for ascent and other spices-but without ordinary tea leaves and it doesn’t look amber.

When the pot is placed on the ground, the cook will serve the tea pot with milk ingredient to taste.
