Somalia: President Farmajo congratulates Kenyatta on his re-election
MOGADISHU, Somalia - Somali President, Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo has on Tuesday congratulated Uhuru Kenyatta on his re-election as President in the widely disputed poll rerun, Garowe Online reports.
"On behalf of the people of Somalia, I congratulate H.E Uhuru Kenyatta on his re-election as president in the recent Kenya repeat poll," said President Farmajo in a statement released by Villa Somalia, Oct 31.

President Farmajo said was "confident" that the re-election of Kenyatta will strengthen the good relations between Somalia and Kenya, the two neighboring countries in the East Africa.
Somalia has a combined deep-rooted economic and diplomatic relations with Kenya, and his Federal Government is committed to cooperating with Nairobi towards the peace, trade and economic ties.
Kenyatta has been re-elected for a second term in office after securing more than 98% of the vote in a highly-contentious rerun poll that was boycotted by his main opposition leader, Raila Odinga.
