Somalia: Four killed in Mogadishu suicide bombing

MOGADISHU, Somalia Jan 4, 2015 (Garowe Online)-Car bomb attack claimed at killed at least four people and left others wounded in Volatile Mogadishu on Sunday evening according to officials, Garowe Online reports.

Sources say, national intelligence officers in armored vehicles were targeted in the coordinated terror attack.

A spokesman for Al Qaeda linked Al Shabaab militants said, they are responsible for the attack on US-trained military personnel.

The attacked convoy was racing through a heavily militarized road that leads to Adan Adde International airport.

Somalia-based Islamist insurgents lost a string of strategic towns in central and southern Somalia to intense onslaught by Somali government forces and African Union peacekeepers.
