Somalia: Kenyans to appear in Mogadishu court over work permits

MOGADISHU, Somalia, November 4, 2015 (Garowe Online)-At least 22 Kenyans allegedly lacking work permits could face deportation as Mogadishu court has postponed hearings to Thursday, Garowe Online reports.
Banadir court judges announced the postponement of first case in foreigners without permits, in a country wracked by two decades of civil unrest.
Kenyan embassy officials and Somali Immigration and Naturalization Department officers were present during the decision.
The rare proceeding is set to get underway in Banadir court tomorrow.
Many foreigners, sans legitimate permits are believed to be streaming into Somalia following relative peace in some parts of the country.
