Somalia: Landmine explosion wounds seven Federal Govt soldiers

BARDERA, Somalia, December 29, 2015 (Garowe Online)-Seven Somali government soldiers have been wounded in landmine attack in Gedo regional district of Bardera on Monday, Garowe Online reports.

Two of the wounded are in critical condition according to security sources and medics.

Al Shabaab militants are believed to have carried out the terror attack.

Somali National Army (SNA) troops retaliated with raid on Al Shabaab base in nearby El Hared, vicinity just 20km off Bardera.

Having sustained a series of defeats on the frontline, Al Shabaab target allied forces in hit-and-run attacks in central and southern Somalia.

Somalia Federal Government and Al Shabaab have not commented on the incidents.
