In a decree issued by the Office of the Prime Minister, some cabinet members lost posts while new faces took over.

Two dockets—Commerce and Industry Ministry and Water and Electricity Ministry- have been affected in the reshuffle.

Abdirahman Abdi Osman has been assigned to Commerce, with Water and Electricity portfolios entrusted to Mohamed Hassan Adan (Shahiyow).

Somalia President, Hassan Sheikh Mohamed agreed to the changes in the cabinet.

The reshuffle has since been much anticipated.
