Somalia: President Farmajo reaches Riyadh to participate in the Arab, U.S. summit

MOGADISHU, Somalia- The President of Somalia's Federal government Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo and a delegate he was leading have reached Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia on Sunday, Garowe Online reports.

President Farmajo accompanied by ministers and Federal lawmakers will attend the US-Arab Islamic summit scheduled to kick start in Riyadh today.

The King of Saudi Arabia, Salman Bin Abdulaziz has invited Farmajo to the meeting, to brief the leaders about the security and humanitarian crises in Somalia.

Reports said Somali President will meet with Donald Trump on the sideline of Riyadh summit, to discuss the fight against al-Shabaab group.

More than 50 leaders were invited by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to attend the two-day meeting that will focus on the relationship between the Trump administration and the Muslim countries.

A range of issues, including Terrorism, extremism and the recent Trump's immigration ban six Muslim countries will be high on agenda.
