Somalia: President Hassan in Egypt on official visit

CAIRO, Egypt Dec 7, 2014 (Garowe Online)-Federal Government of Somalia’s President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud has arrived in Cairo on official visit on Sunday evening, Garowe Online reports.

Mohamud is being accompanied on his trip to Egypt by Acting Ministers for Foreign Affairs, Interior, Finance, Higher Education and Justice.

Egyptian Education Minister Mahmoud Mohamed Mahmoud Abo El Nasr and Somali Ambassador to Egypt Abdullahi Hassan Mohamud received the Somali delegation at Cairo International airport.

Somalia President will hold talks with Egyptian President Abdul fetah Al Sisi and Arab League Secretary-General Nabil Al-Arabi.

In early October, Egypt offered 200 scholarship positions to the war-ravaged horn of Africa nation.
