Somalia: Second cleric killed in Baidoa in two weeks

BAIDOA, Somalia Feb 3, 2015 (Garowe Online)—Unidentified assailants shot and killed prominent Muslim cleric inside a mosque in Bay regional capital of Baidoa on Monday evening, Garowe Online reports.
 
Late Hussein Hassan who is aligned with the Paramilitary Group of Ahlu Sunnah Wal Jamea was gunned down while attending evening prayers at a mosque near his home.
 
The attackers who shortly fled from the scene of the crime used pistols, witnesses said.
 
A spokesman for Ahlu Sunnah, Isaq Mursal Gees-Dheere said Al Shabaab killed late Hassan, pledging vengeance.
 
Hassan's son who was standing next to him sustained bullet wounds.
 
On January 18, unknown gunmen assassinated another cleric with Ahlu Sunnah, Sharif Siidkey.
 
Al Shabaab terror group didn't claim credit for the killings.
