In addition, the Sheikh Zayed Hospital in Mogadishu continues to receive dozens of the wounded with medical staff treating various injuries, news agency Wam reported. The hospital was inaugurated in June 2015, offering free healthcare to hundreds of patients each day.

More than 300 people are thought to have been killed in twin blasts that rocked two crowded districts in the Somali capital, with much more injured.

The UAE provides significant support to Somalia, especially in humanitarian, educational, and health fields.
