Somaliland paramilitary commander gunned down in Berbera

BERBERA, Somalia, December 17, 2015 (Garowe Online)-Somaliland paramilitary unit commander has been gunned down by a soldier in Berbera port city according to security sources, Garowe Online reports.

One of his soldiers shot him, leaving late Adan Gulled Talabo dead instantly.

The killer is being held by security forces and investigations regarding the incidents are underway.

Somaliland government has not officially commented on the deadly shooting in Berbera.

Killings involving within army were previously reported in northwestern Somalia.

Somaliland, located in northwestern Somalia declared its independence from the rest of the country as de facto sovereign state in 1991 but it has not been recognized internationally yet.
