Ethiopian PM arrives in Asmara for two-day visit to Eritrea

ASMARA - Ethiopia’s Prime Minister, Abiy Ahmed, arrived in Asmara in mid-morning hours today for a two-day working visit.

Eritrea’s President Isaias Afwerki accorded warm welcome to the Prime Minister and his delegation on their arrival at Asmara’s International Airport, according to Yemane Gebremeskel, Eritrea’s Minister of Information.

The two sides will discuss further enhancement of the all-rounded cooperation between the two countries as well as regional and other matters of mutual interest, he said on Twitter.

The Ethiopian delegation includes Finance Minister Ahmed Shide and other government officials.
