Somalia: Puntland leader meets EU, Swedish Ambassadors

GAROWE, Somalia, October 8, 2015 (Garowe Online)-The President of Somalia’s Puntland Government, Abdiweli Mohamed Ali has met EU envoy and Swedish Ambassador to Somalia in Kenyan capital, Nairobi, Garowe Online reports.

Civil Aviation Minister and presidential officials are accompanying President Ali on his Nairobi visit that kicked off Saturday.

Ali discussed EU-sponsored development Programmes and international aid for Somalia with Ambassador Michele Cervone d’Urso and Sweden’s Mikael Lindvall.

He thanked European Union for support for recent consultative conference concluded in Galkayo.

EU envoy indicated during his meeting with Puntland delegation that they will fund and implement new projects in Puntland, according to a statement from the government.
