Denmark, Ireland and Poland dispatch ambassadors to Somalia
MOGADISHU, Somalia - The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo has received credentials from the new Ambassadors of Denmark, Ireland, and Poland to Somalia.
The Ambassador of the Kingdom of Denmark, Mr. Ole Thonke, who conveyed a message of greetings from His Excellency the Queen Margrethe Alexandrine to the President, highlighted his efforts to enhance relations between the two countries and thanked the Government and people of Somalia for the warm welcome.
Also, the new Ambassador of Ireland, Ms. Fionnuala Quinlan, presented her credentials to the President and expressed her pride in joining the diplomatic corps in the country.
The Ambassador of the Republic of Poland, HE Jacek Bazanski, conveyed to the President a message of greetings from his Polish counterpart, HE Andrzej Duda, and presented a copy of his credentials to the President.
For his part, President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo briefed the ambassadors on the Federal Government of Somalia's commitment to strengthening co-operation and collaboration with the international community.
President Farmajo congratulated the new Ambassadors on their appointment and told them that they were well received by the Somali people and that the Federal Government would support them in fulfilling their diplomatic responsibilities.
