KISMAYO, Somalia, December 31, 2015 (Garowe Online)-Lawmakers in Somalia’s Jubaland parliament have again extended deadline for cabinet lineup by three months on Thursday, Garowe Online reports.

Jubaland President Sheikh Mohamed Islam (Madobe) is having formal time extended for third time due to political pressure.

MP Bashir Mohamed said that Jubaland parliament voted in favor of president’s request for more weeks for the finalization of much delayed portfolios.

New Jubaland cabinet is expected to be announced between January and April as per the extension.

Madobe has been pushing ahead with wider reconciliation since August when he won by landslide in election held under the state’s first draft in the southern port city of Kismayo.
