Somalia: Security commander killed in Beledweyne shooting

BELEDWEYNE, Somalia, December 16, 2015 (Garowe Online)-Armed clan militiaman has shot and killed Somali National Army (SNA) commander in central Somalia town of Beledweyne on Wednesday, Garowe Online reports.

Mohamed Mumin Irba-Dhere was in charge of regiments dispatched to enforce ceasefire between two warring clan militias.

The killed, identified as one of feuding militiamen was immediately apprehended.

Beledweyne has been a spot for sporadic clan clashes that left nearly 20 people dead over the last few days.
