MOGADISHU, Somalia-Federal Government of Somalia’s Prime Minister Omar Abdirashid Ali Sharmarke has announced that they will send a fact-finding committee to battered El Ade, Garowe Online reports.

In an interview with state-run station, Radio Mogadishu he said, his government will launch investigation into latest strikes targeting vicinities surrounding El Ade.

Somalia has lodged request with Kenya, asking troop contributing country to cease aerial campaign that might have taken toll on civilians.

“A fact-finding committee will be dispatched. [This committee] will assess the very situation on the ground under the chairmanship of Defence Minister,” said Somali Prime Minister.

The remarks are first by top Somali official since Kenya launched air raids on areas believed to be hotbeds for terrorist Al Shabaab group.

Kenyan fighter jets have been pounding rebel-held positions in revenge for deadly assault on a base in Southwestern El Ade village.
