Somalia: Galmudug backs Saudi-led bloc in cutting ties with Qatar

ADADO, Somalia - Somalia's central semi-autonomous region of Galmudug has announced it is siding with Saudi-led alliance of nations in cutting ties to Qatar as GCC rift deepens, Garowe Online reports.
In a statement issued by the Office of the President said Somalia cannot take a neutral decision in the Gulf crises, because of it has historic relationship and strategic partnership with Saudi Arabia and UAE.
"The Federal government's neutral position in GCC row in 6th June was made without consultation with the Federal Member States and it will affect all Somalis in everywhere," read the statement.
This is the third Somali Federal State to side with Saudi-led bloc against Qatar. In this week, Southwest state has declared it supports for Saudi Arabia and other Arab countries in cutting diplomatic ties with Doha.
These simultaneous decision from the Somali regional administrations putting pressure on the Federal government to reverse its neutral decision in the three-month diplomatic crises in the Gulf states.
