DJIBOUTI (GO) – Djibouti’s Finance Minister, Ilyaas Dawaleh, has vehemently responded to serious allegations recently leveled by the former head of the Somali National Intelligence Agency, Fahad Yaasiin, against Djibouti President Ismaaciil Cumar Geelle.

Dawaleh stated, “President Geelle has caused psychological distress to Fahad and his group, leading them to seize every opportunity to slander President Geelle.

The minister also remarked that Fahad’s defamation will not change the history or reputation of Ismaaciil Cumar Geelle as he put it.

In a recently published article, Fahad Yaasiin accused President Ismaaciil Cumar Geelle of perpetually wanting Somalia to remain in constant turmoil. He also claimed in his writing that President Geelle advised Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed to covet Somali waters, attempting to divert attention from internal issues.
