MOGADISHU, Somalia – The Federal Republic of Somalia joined Arab nations in the condemnation of Houthi’s attack on Saudi Arabia’s Khamis Mushait with two ballistic missiles and a bomb-laden drone.

Somalia affirmed that these systematic terrorist attacks by the Houthi group reflect its blatant disregard for the international community and all international laws and norms, said the foreign affairs ministry.

The Iran-backed Houthi rebel group announced on Friday that it targeted the Aramco oil company with six drones which Saudi Arabia said was an attempt to target non-combatants and civilian structures.

The Houthis who control large larger areas in Yemen, including the capital Sana, have intensified missile and drone attacks on the Kingdom, sparking condemnation from regional and international allies.

Yemen, the poorest Gulf nation has been beset by violence and instability since 2014 when Houthi rebels captured much of the country, including the capital, Sanaa from the UN-recognized government.
