Somalia: Puntland Army conducts clean-up operation in Galgala

BOSSASO, Somalia Oct 1, 2014 (Garowe Online)-Puntland Defence Forces have conducted anti-terror raid in the restive Galgala area near Golis Mountain Range of northeastern Somalia in the early hours of Wednesday morning, Garowe Online reports.

Heavily armed soldiers moved in on the clean-up operation, capturing undisclosed number of fighters according to well informed sources.

Galgala, some 50 km southwest of Bossaso port city witnessed heaviest battles in mid-2010 when Puntland Government pressed ahead with military offensive against Al Shabaab militants.
