​Kenya continues pounding Al Shabaab in Somalia

BELEDHAWO, Somalia- Kenyan fighter jets continue pummeling Al Shabaab hideouts in southwestern Somalia for the second day in a row, Garowe Online reports.

Officials have confirmed that sorties by Kenya flied into second day in areas in Gedo region of southwestern Somalia.

Strikes hit a mosque in TuloBarwaqo village near Gedo regional district of BeledHawo.

A spokesman for Gedo regional administration accused Kenya of targeting improper locations, confirming that they have lodged complaints with Jubaland.

Kenyan fighter jets have been carrying out airstrikes in revenge for soldiers killed in attack on military base in El Adde.

On Thursday, renewed claims sparked off diplomatic row between Somalia and Kenya after President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud said, close to 200 Kenyan peacekeepers were killed in the night raid.
