Somalia: Militants execute four alleged Kenya spies

DIINSOOR, Somalia, May 26, 2015 (Garowe Online)-Somalia’s Al Qaeda linked Al Shabaab militants have executed four men for spying for Kenyan government in a town in southern Somalia, Garowe Online reports.

Ali Musse Ali, 26, Hassan Adawe Mohamed, 24, Ukash Ali Haji, 39 and Mohamed Nur Ali Soyal,40 were allegedly convicted of cooperating with Kenya according to self-appointed Al Shabaab judge.

Among the onlookers at the site of Al Shabaab execution were residents of Bay regional district of Diinsoor of southwestern Somalia and Al Shabaab officials.

Somali militant group is believed to have carried out nearly 30 executions since 2014 when Al Shabaab fighters began losing grounds against Somali government forces and African Union troops.
