KISMAYO, Somalia, June 27, 2015 (Garowe Online)-At least ten suspects have been arrested in connection with the killing of Jubaland commander in charge of troops stationed in Bulogadud according to security officials, Garowe Online reports.

Women are among the terror suspects reportedly arrested for facilitating the killing of army Commander, late Mursal Gedi in remotely-detonated bomb blast on Friday.

Those captured in a sweep following the deadly blast are being interrogated, sources confirmed.

Al Qaeda-linked Al Shabaab militants claimed responsibility for the plot that left Gedi dead in a toilet.

The bomb is believed to have been planted in the latrine by militant accomplices.

Jubaland forces are battling Al Shabaab fighters in bastions, west of the southern port city of Kismayo.
