MOGADISHU, Somalia- The newly elected President of Somalia's semi-autonomous region of Galmudug Ahmed Dualle Geelle Haaf has met Somali President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo in Mogadishu on Saturday, Garowe Online reports.

President Farmaajo held meeting with new Galmudug leader in Villa Somalia, and discussed on a range of issues, including the cooperation between the Federal government and Galmudug administration.

Haaf has called on the Federal government of Somalia to help his administration in the security, drought crises and reconciliation process to end the deadlock between Galmudug and Ahlu Sunna group.

The upcoming London conference on Somalia was also discussed during the meeting between Somali President and Galmudug leader, who was elected last week in Adado town.

Somali government has on April assigned a ministerial level mediation committee for the talks between Galmudug and its rival Ahlu Sunna, which failed a week ago before the presidential election of Galmudug.
