Riyadh (Garowe Online) - Sources familiar with the matter have reported that Saudi Arabia is preparing to open its first liquor store in the capital, Riyadh. This establishment will specifically cater to non-Muslim diplomats.

Prospective customers will need to register via a mobile application. After registration, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will process their requests. Customers will also be subject to a monthly purchase quota.

This move is part of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s efforts to boost tourism and attract business activities. It also aligns with the broader “Vision 2030” initiative, which aims to diversify the Saudi economy beyond its dependence on oil.
